The Indian Global Psychiatric Initiative that was established in 2010 is an endeavor to bring together the over 15,000 psychiatrists of Indian origin from the world over.
It provides a platform for sharing scientific and scholarly knowledge, experience and the developing of new collaborations in the enhancement of mental health care.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
To establish close working ties between IPS, IAPA, BIPA, ICPA and IAPA (Aus & NZ) and similar organizations.
To establish funds to promote mental health in the Indian sub-continent
To establish training and educational opportunities, for residents in training in the sub-continent.
To provide learning, research and dissemination of knowledge in areas related to mental health issue as related to psychiatrist of origin from the Indian sub-continent.
